UFO hovers over Chongqing for half an hour
At about 10 pm on the evening of August 23, a UFO appeared in the sky above Beibei Binjiang Road in Chongqing.
The Walking Dead to Become Television series!
Many people wrote us to alert us to the many news stories floating around out that the seminal zombie comic, The Walking Dead, is precipitously close to getting a TV series! The series is being shopped around to various outlets, and AMC sounds very excited about the idea, even citing the popularity of their Halloween programming as a conducive audience. Writer/Director Frank Darabont (The Green Mile, The Shawshank Redemption) is tied to the project. His experience with both the horror genre and human drama seem like an excellent fit for the series, and with the right talent it has the potential to be a huge hit.
Beatles/Zombie Mashup coming next summer
Pocket Books is trying to repeat the success of the Jane Austen/zombie mashup book Pride and Prejudice and Zombies with a new book based on The Beatles entitled Paul is Undead. The book will follow the musical journey of the band and adds a twist where the iconic bandmates turn into zombies. Could dead bodies possibly breathe life into what is already a well-known tale? You’ll have to wait to find out; Paul is Undead is set for publication in June 2010.
